Kimberly Middleton

Kimberly Middleton is the program officer for Tides Foundation’s WE LEAD (the Women’s Environmental Leadership Fund) and Frontline Justice funds. Since helping to launch WE LEAD in 2020 and the Frontline Justice Fund in 2022, both funds combined have directed more than $10 million to frontline leaders and activists, community-based groups and coalitions, and movements nationwide with the goal of shifting power and resources to those closest to local challenges and solutions who are advocating for environmental and climate justice.

In her role as an advisor, Kimberly collaborates with innovative partners and provides comprehensive solutions related to domestic and international grantmaking, capacity building, operations, and events. Her interests are in the areas of advancing equity for women and girls, human rights, and indigenous communities. Prior to Tides, Kimberly served as program officer in the International Women’s Program at Open Society Foundation.
