Tareya Palmer

Tareya serves as senior advisor for the Corporate and Strategic Initiatives team at Tides. In this role, she builds the strategy consulting practice with a focus on supporting our partners strengthen the power of groups who face systemic barriers to resources and opportunities. Prior to joining Tides, Tareya worked at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, where she partnered with individuals and family foundations to secure philanthropic gifts that assisted in expanding reproductive healthcare access for marginalized communities. Given her professional and lived experience, Tareya has strategically advised local Black-led grassroots organizations, specifically about reaching their fundraising and development goals and bolstering their infrastructure. In her free time, Tareya records the podcast she co-founded, Columbus Can’t Wait, which focuses on the lived experiences of Black people in Columbus, Ohio, particularly as it relates to sharing how they engage in local politics.
