She has also served as a commentator in the United States and abroad for news outlets including BBC Television and National Public Radio. She has a passionate interest in sharing the stories of people who, as writer and activist Marge Piercy wrote, “strain in the mud and the muck to move things forward, who do what has to be done, again and again.”
