Tides’ 44-Year Retrospective: Revisiting Key Milestones

Since 1976, when Tides officially launched, we have been a dedicated philanthropic partner and nonprofit accelerator supporting organizations to reach their social change goals. As we approach 2020, and as Tides celebrates 44 years of impact and scaling solutions across issue areas like a sustainable environment, education, economic development, and healthy individuals and communities, we wanted to take a step back and appreciate where we started, and where we are today.

We are proud of the work of our partners over the years, as we have worked together to support bold solutions to the world’s toughest problems. From organizing the Collaborative Funding on Drug Policy Reform to launching the Reproductive Justice Initiative, to working alongside the YEARS Project to help inform the world about climate change, Tides is proud to have a longstanding history of supporting mission-driven work that amplifies our partners’ impact and brings attention where it’s due.
