Tides Partners

Founded by family members of those killed in the 2001 attacks, September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows seeks to open up a public dialogue about the complex issues involved in responding to political violence. By developing and advocating nonviolent options and actions in the pursuit of justice, they hope to break the cycles of violence engendered by both war and terrorism. Acknowledging common experience with all people affected by violence throughout the world, they work to create a safer and more peaceful world for everyone.

The mission of SPACEs (Safe Places for the Advancement of Community and Equity) is to reverse and eliminate the generational effects of race, racism and poverty. It does this through a creative combination of organizing, leadership development and cultural work.

SPACEs is an inter- disciplinary social justice organization that unleashes the capacity of people and organizations to create communities of HOPE (Healing, Opportunity and Possibility for Everyone). SPACEs creates a “space” where “real listening” happens; where there isn’t a rush to get through an agenda or to make a decision and where the goal is to converse not convince.

Since 1963, Spon­sors for Edu­ca­tional Oppor­tu­nity (SEO) has made a life­time of achieve­ment pos­si­ble for 12,000 tal­ented young peo­ple from under­served and under­rep­re­sented communities.

We offer four distinct programs:

SEO SCHOLARS
SEO Scholars is a free, eight-year, academic program that gets low-income public high school students to and through college–with a 90% college graduation rate. 100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges, with 85% being first-generation college graduates. More than 75% of current SEO Scholars are attending colleges and universities in a top-100 U.S. News & World reporting.

SEO CAREER
SEO Career is the nation’s premier professional development program, providing Black, Hispanic, and Native American undergrads with everything they need to land an internship: industry exposure, career guidance, interview skills, and intensive training. Approximately 80% of SEO Career interns receive full-time job offers from SEO Career partners before they graduate college. SEO Interns earn an average of $10,000 per summer. SEO LAW
The SEO Law Fellowship is the only program of its kind, offering talented, incoming, underrepresented law school students the opportunity to receive a paid internship at a top law firm the summer before law school. The SEO Law Fellowship program has an impressive network of more than 1,600+ SEO Law alumni, who have gone on to work as Chief Legal Officers, U.S. District Attorneys, Deputy/Assistant Attorneys General, U.S. District Court Judges, and U.S. Cabinet/Congress Members. SEO Law partners with more than 41 law firms in 12 cities across the U.S.

SEO ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS
The SEO Alternative Investments Fellowship Program (AIFP) educates, mentors, and provides access to first and second-year investment banking analysts traditionally underrepresented in the alternatives industry. In addition to the AIFP, SEO Alternative Investments also hosts the annual Alternative Investments Conference (AICON), which provides a day of educational panels and networking, increasing access and career development opportunities for professionals in the sector.

Our mission is to unify our partners around a common agenda to strengthen our democracy, to fortify organizations and their leaders, and to amplify the voices of the underrepresented. We know we can accomplish more together than any one of us would ever be able to accomplish alone. By centering the leadership, experiences, voice, and votes of Black, brown, Latinx, Asian and Indigenous people (BIPOC), women, low-income and young people we can create a path to power and a thriving democracy. Together, our partners can build the power needed to break down barriers to civic participation, restore confidence in government, engage historically overlooked populations, and recenter public discourse on racial and socioeconomic justice.

Mission: To teach and support organizations and leaders how to build, sustain and improve internal structures and organizational cultures.

How We Do This: We create transformative healing spaces and teach methodologies that support healthy, thriving individuals and organizations, that result in inclusive, diverse, aligned, and sustainable strategic transformational change.

Our mission is to provide evidence-based models, tools and services to the most challenged secondary schools serving the most vulnerable students in the country. TDS envisions a nation in which our most vulnerable students have access to an education that: develops their unique strengths and talents; builds their academic and socio-emotional competencies; engages them in relevant and exciting learning opportunities;
supports them so they can succeed; and prepares them for post-secondary education and the 21st century world of work.

Our mission is to strengthen the partnerships and strategies that will bring environmental literacy to all of California’s K–12 students.
