Adalah Justice Project (AJP) seeks to shift American attitudes and policy concerning Israel/Palestine towards a human rights approach that guarantees historic justice and equality for Palestinians.

AJP began as the US Program of Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, and the two organizations cooperate closely to advance a shared vision of full human rights for all people living in historic Palestine, the end of the occupation, and historical justice for all Palestinians.

Adalah means “Justice” in Arabic.

The Africa Grantmakers’ Affinity Group (AGAG) is a membership network of grantmakers that works to promote robust, effective, and responsive philanthropy to benefit African communities. We offer opportunities for new and experienced funders to build strong professional relationships and deepen their understanding of the critical challenges where philanthropy can make a difference.

African School for Excellence (ASE) aims to revolutionise the face of modern education and, in so doing, provide greater access to world-class education to everyone. Rooted in a unique concept, ASE’s vision is to create a self-sustaining network of elite independent secondary schools that anyone can afford.

To do this, we focus our mission on three essential factors:

World-Class Quality. Everything begins with our commitment to excellence. We know that township scholars can compete with the world’s best students. We expect ASE scholars to graduate ready to succeed at the very best universities, both in South Africa and abroad, and we accept nothing less.

Affordability. Even the highest-quality educational model will not be enough to change the state of education in South African townships if it cannot eventually pay for itself. ASE’s refined model costs roughly 60% of the amount the government currently spends per learner, thereby making it attainable for township families while extending the impact of government spending in improving education outcomes in South Africa.

Scalability. South Africa is filled with talented young people who can achieve world-class results if given the opportunity. Through our financial model, our systems, and our embedded teacher’s college, we maintain a ceaseless focus on scaling our impact without sacrificing quality. We seek to develop a network of 100+ schools throughout the country, providing elite education to tens of thousands of disadvantaged scholars every year.

AIDS-Free World works to improve and accelerate the global response to AIDS through direct advocacy and by supporting the advocacy efforts of organizations in AIDS-affected countries. The organization focuses primarily on Africa, and women’s issues are central to all its work.

In 71 countries, it’s a crime to be gay; and in 10, it can cost you your life. All Out is a global movement working to build a world where no person will have to sacrifice their family or freedom, safety or dignity, because of who they are or who they love.

By mobilising thousands of people globally and working closely with local organisations and activists, we use creative tactics – online and offline – to draw attention to the push for equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) people.

When a moment of crisis or opportunity comes up – an anti-gay law going to a vote, a crackdown on a Pride march, a company making a wrong turn for trans rights –, All Out uses technology to give our members inspiring ways to take action.

That’s where the power of All Out members shows: from signing a petition to joining a street protest, from sharing content to donating to fund a campaigning tactic, we are thousands of people in every single country on the planet who are always ready to speak up and take a stand for love and equality.

The Alliance for California Traditional Arts (ACTA) promotes and supports ways for cultural traditions to continue now and into the future by providing advocacy, resources and connections for folk and traditional artists and their communities. Folk and traditional artists are defined as tradition-bearers and cultural practitioners: people who transmit what they believe, know, do, and create with others who share a common heritage.

Rooted in California’s cultural communities, from Siskiyou to San Diego, ACTA is in direct communication with tradition-bearers who foster the state’s rich and diverse cultural roots. ACTA’s programs and services are created, evaluated and evolved as a response to the specific needs of these cultural practitioners and their communities. ACTA works on behalf of artists, communities, and funders to connect them to each other, information, and resources.

Beyond connection to funding, ACTA provides programs and services to the field such as: convenings, local and national field-building, research and technical assistance.

Recognized for its culturally competent leadership, intellectual capital and excellence in program administration, ACTA is the official go-to entity for information about folk and traditional arts in California. Dedicated to sustaining and fostering the growth of cultural traditions found within the state’s diverse communities, ACTA ensures that its core values of respect, cultural pluralism, and cultural democracy permeate every aspect of its activity and programming.

ACTA helps people connect to their past and keep traditions a central part of life today and tomorrow. By supporting folk and traditional artists, ACTA supports the health, cultural continuity and diversity of California.

The Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC) is a grassroots organization working to empower and organize our community towards justice and self-determination for all. AROC members build community power in the Bay Area by participating in leadership development, political education, and campaigns.

Recognizing the diversity of experiences and interests within the Arab community, AROC devises a multi-pronged strategy to meet those needs while prioritizing the most marginalized sectors of our constituency to inform our work. AROC provides a centralized space for analysis, strategy, and formulation of concrete campaigns to organize for change.

AROC envisions powerful and liberated Arab communities living with dignity from here to our homelands. AROC sees the liberation of Arab people inextricably tied to the liberation of all people of color.

ARCS Foundation advances science and technology in the United States by providing financial awards to academically outstanding U.S. citizens studying to complete degrees in science, engineering and medical research.

It is ARCS Foundation’s belief that support of STEM education is essential to US economic growth and technological competitiveness, and helps to ensure continued US leadership in global innovation, health and quality of life.

In close collaboration with University departments across the United States that are recognized leaders in science and engineering fields, more than 1300 women volunteer members of 15 regional Foundation chapters fund the most promising scholars at the startup or “seed stage” of their work and discovery.

ARCS Scholars have gone on to positions of leadership and distinction in academia, industry, and government efforts. Nine out of 10 ARCS Scholars work in their sponsored fields – sharing knowledge, developing technologies, launching startup companies, and inspiring youth to pursue the challenge of study and careers in STEM fields.

A much-sought after recognition indicating outstanding academic achievements, ARCS Awards are applied towards many areas of research need, and are not restricted to tuition alone.
