Integrative Medicine for the Underserved (IM4US) is dedicated to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in health care. Through outreach, education, research, and advocacy, we provide support to a community of diverse health practitioners working with underserved communities.

The IMB Community Foundation was established in 1999 to provide financial support to community groups with positive ideas and concepts to help them convert their ideas into working projects.

Since its inception, the IMB Community Foundation has granted around $8.1 million to support over 550 projects with a diverse range of themes and purposes throughout our local communities.

Our mission is to investigate and report on important issues impacting California and Nevada, increase public awareness and engagement around these issues, and give voice to the under-represented.

We are currently raising funds to support new reporting in the areas of social justice, criminal justice, immigration, poverty, health and mental health. Our team of writers and designers will bring the stories that result from this reporting to life for thousands and sometimes millions of readers. We publish the stories in our three weekly newspapers and their affiliated websites serving Northern California and Nevada: the Sacramento News & Review (published since 1989), the Reno News & Review (1995) and the Chico News and Review (1977) reach more than 500,000 engaged readers (audited monthly cume).

For more than a decade, we have also partnered with newspapers throughout California and the region to distribute select stories to a larger audience when appropriate. We have a long track record of independent, impactful, award-winning journalism that reaches thousands and sometimes millions of readers.

We believe that now more than ever there is a desperate need for these stories be told.

Traditional models of support for journalism are in decline. As a result, voices are going unheard and issues going under-reported as media outlets struggle to survive. Your support for community-based journalism helps bring important issues to light in a way that creates powerful community dialogue and a deeper understanding of the challenges our region faces. With your help, we can produce independent, investigative journalism that will help create real, long-lasting change.

ICAR harnesses the power of the human rights community to identify and promote robust frameworks for corporate accountability, strengthen current measures and defend existing laws, policies and legal precedents.

ICAR serves as a forum to take advantage of strategic opportunities and increase communication between organizations on the subject of international corporate accountability and human rights. We work with our members to pursue specific, agreed objectives that will enhance corporate accountability and ensure businesses evidence respect for human rights in their operations.

The International Funders for Indigenous Peoples (IFIP) is the only global donor affinity group dedicated to Indigenous Peoples worldwide.

Our Mission is to foster Indigenous solutions and partnerships among Indigenous Peoples and funders around the globe.

International Funders for Indigenous Peoples seeks to transform the relationship between the funding world and Indigenous Peoples to one of mutual understanding and benefit.

It recognizes the urgent need for solutions that are led and understood by Indigenous Peoples not only to improve lives in Indigenous communities, but also as a resource for solving social, economic and environmental challenges around the world for everyone.

IFIP is led by donors and Indigenous leaders to advance a new movement in philanthropy that better values, supports and partners with Indigenous communities. Donors and Indigenous leaders are afforded unique opportunities to respectfully learn from one another at our regional meetings and international donor summits. This face-to-face engagement plants the seeds for trust and enduring collaborations. We build capacity for both Indigenous communities seeking support and donors interested in high impact philanthropy. Personalized encounters, buttressed by social media, case studies and original research on best practices, form the cornerstones of IFIP’s strategy.

IFIP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is recognized affinity group of the Council on Foundations. It was started in 1999 as a project of the First Nations Development Institute.

Just BE is a wellness and shared prosperity community by and for Black, Indigenous, Women of Color Entrepreneurs (BIWOCE). Our roots stem from Oakland, California, where an intergenerational group of eight black women makers, artists, and creatives co-founded Just BE in 2016.

Our vision is not just about individual success, but about developing the economic and wellness infrastructure needed to sustain our communities for generations. We do this by fostering symbiotic women of color business communities that facilitate mental/physical wellness, collective ownership, resource mobilization, and mutual assistance.

For survivors of human trafficking to have the opportunity to seek justice on their own terms. We envision a world where justice eradicates all forms of slavery – where victims of trafficking are empowered through justice in order to heal and become independent and self-sufficient survivors that can thrive with dignity.

OUR MISSION
To empower those who have been labor trafficked and commercially sexually exploited by providing access to free comprehensive legal services, advocacy and specialized training to help transform survivors’ lives.

Through innovative grantmaking strategies and projects, Lambent Foundation hopes to examine, explore, and support the intersections between arts/culture/creativity and social justice by identifying and funding creative projects and ideas that use art, artists, and the artistic process as a strategy for and within progressive movement building.
